Tarp Skunks Reach 30 Wins in Historic Season ⚾️
The Jamestown Tarp Skunks capped off a remarkable year by reaching 30 total wins — 29 in the regular season and one more in the postseason. This milestone marks the winningest season in franchise history and a true testament to the dedication of our players, coaches, staff, and fans.
From Opening Day through the playoffs, the Tarp Skunks showed grit, resilience, and a relentless drive to succeed. Night after night, our players left it all on the field, delivering thrilling performances and showcasing their talent at Russell E. Diethrick Jr. Park.
This year’s team didn’t just win games — they made history. The Tarp Skunks finished with the best offense in the entire PGCBL, consistently putting pressure on opponents and proving to be one of the toughest lineups in the league. On the pitching side, we witnessed a season highlight on June 27th, when Christian Pencek threw a no-hitter against the Elmira Pioneers, delivering one of the most memorable performances in franchise history.
Behind the scenes, our coaching staff and front office worked tirelessly to create an environment that fostered growth, teamwork, and excitement both on and off the diamond. Their commitment played a vital role in setting the foundation for success and making this season one to remember.
This historic season was also recognized across the league, with eight Tarp Skunks earning All-League honors:
-
Nathan Boarchardt – First Team, Designated Hitter
-
Jaokob Haynes – Second Team, Catcher
-
Nolan Smith – Second Team, First Baseman
-
Justin Bremner – Second Team, Outfielder
-
Nick Ianniello – Second Team, Pitcher
-
Brady McGuire – Honorable Mention, Third Baseman
-
Will Taylor – Honorable Mention, Relief Pitcher
-
Christian Pencek – Honorable Mention, Starting Pitcher
These selections highlight the talent, depth, and hard work of our roster, and we are proud to see our players recognized for their outstanding seasons.
But none of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our fans. You packed the stands, brought energy to every game, and helped make Jamestown one of the most electric places to play summer baseball. Your passion is what fuels us, and we are proud to represent this community every time we take the field.
As we reflect on this historic season, we celebrate the 30 wins, the league’s best offense, a no-hitter, the players honored, and the foundation built for even more success in the future. The bar has been set high, and we are excited to continue growing together as a team and as a community.
Thank you to everyone who made this year so special. Here’s to carrying the momentum forward into next season — and beyond.
